Brand identity design (Passion Project)
Project Goal: Create a brand identity for a midwifery and doula service that portrayed bravery, calm, and empowerment for moms preparing for childbirth.
The team at The Brave Birth Co. recognized that many expectant mothers feel anxiety and fear around the childbirth process. The challenge of this project was to create a brand that not only instilled confidence but also conveyed a sense of calm and empowerment. It was important to counter the common fears of birth by emphasizing knowledge, support, and a reassuring environment.
In designing this brand, I focused on creating a peaceful and supportive visual language. I carefully selected imagery and typography that felt modern and approachable, ensuring that it resonated with expectant mothers. The swirl element was integrated thoughtfully to give a sense of flow and calm. The combination of colors and shapes helped create a welcoming, empowering atmosphere.
The Brave Birth Co.’s final brand identity effectively communicated the dual message of calm and bravery. It reassured expectant mothers that they were supported and empowered throughout their birthing journey. The combination of calming colors, thoughtful design elements, and a clear focus on empowerment helped establish the brand as a trusted, comforting presence in the childbirth space.
This cohesive branding ultimately positioned The Brave Birth Co. as a compassionate and empowering choice for mothers seeking a home birth experience.
